The Story
An exquisite pair of signed Krementz & Co. cufflinks from the Art Nouveau (ca1900s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, each oval-shaped cufflink face showcases the repoussé image of a beautiful mermaid! The mermaid is depicted resting in shallow water, with her tail gracefully curling beneath her body. She is shown looking at a passing swan, as her long locks flow in the wind. She grasps a lyre in her right hand as the water slightly ripples around her. The cufflinks are connected by simple, pill-shaped connector links. The links are marked with a "14K" purity mark and the Krementz & Co. hallmark. A magical pair, these cufflinks would look lovely worn by an individual!
Measurements:Â Each cufflink face has a width of 1/2" and a height of 3/4". The space between each cufflink has a total length of approximately 5/8".Â
Condition: The overall condition of the cufflinks is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold settings or raised repoussé images. The connector links are securely attached and in working order.
