Art Nouveau 18k/Platinum Sapphire & Diamond Butterfly Pin/Pendant

A fantastic butterfly pin/pendant from the Art Nouveau (ca1900s) era! Crafted in 18k yellow gold and platinum, this large pin/pendant resembles a large butterfly. The top of the butterfly's wings feature two bezel-set old mine cut diamonds, which have an approximate total carat weight of 1ctw. The head of the butterfly is represented by an additional bezel-set teardrop shaped diamond, and the body of the creature is decorated with .80ctw of bead-seed rose cut diamonds. The bottom half of the butterfly is decorated with three bezel-set no neat natural sapphires, which display a vivid blue hue and have an approximate total carat weight of 1.5ctw. The remainder of the butterfly's wings are smooth and simple, and the back of the pin/pendant features a pin clasp. A fantastic nature-based pin, this piece would make a lovely addition to any Art Nouveau-era jewelry collection!

Measurements: The pin measures approximately 1 7/8" tall and has a width of 1 3/8".

Condition: The pin/pendant is in great condition. There is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting, and all of the stones are secure and intact. The pin clasp is secure and in working order.
