The Story
A fun and stylish Native American necklace from the Vintage (ca1960s) era! This simple, yet eye-catching piece is comprised of a continuous strand of large sterling silver "conch" beads, which graduate in size. The surfaces of the larger beads are decorated with intricate sun-motif engravings, which add to the lovely design of the piece. The necklace secures with a simple hook clasp, which is complemented on either side by a cone-shaped sterling silver bead. A fabulous piece, this necklace would make a lovely statement piece for any special event or occasion!
Measurements:Ā The necklace measures approximately 22" long. The largest "conch" bead measures 3/8" wide, and the smallest just under 1/4".
Condition:Ā The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterlingĀ beads or silver chainĀ for stringing. The beads are all intact and secure. The surface of the silver has a subtle darkened appearance, which is normal for vintage sterling jewelry. The clasp is secure and in working order.
