A delightful and humorous gold charm from the Vintage (ca1960s) era! This unusual and collectable piece is crafted in 14k yellow gold and portrays a small gold box with a full deck of playing cards inside. The gold box has a door that opens and closes with a small latch. One side of the box features an intricate engraving, which depicts a hand holding cards from each of the playing card suits. Two sides of the box are open, which allows the wearer to view the miniature cards. The two open sides of the pendant/charm are covered with cellulose frames, which protects the cards from any possible damage. The exterior of the box is stamped "14K". The charm is completed by a bail. The pendant/charm would look wonderful worn hanging from a simple gold chain or as an addition to a charm bracelet. A wonderful and unique piece, it would make a creative gift or fun addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant/charm measures 1/2" tall and 3/8" wide.Â
Condition:Â The overall condition of the pendant/charm is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and the paper cards are secure and intact. The latch, which opens and closes the charm, is secure and in working order. The complementary bail is intact and in working order. The cellulose frames which protect the cards have minor wear, but could easily be replaced upon request.
