A unique pendant necklace from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this piece features a thick snake chain, which is secured by a large spring ring clasp. The chain is accompanied by a teardrop-shaped pendant, which features 3 distinct layers. The top of the pendant is crafted in dark green chrysoprase. The next layer is significantly thinner, and is comprised of a ring of rock quartz crystal. The ring is wonderfully faceted, and catches the light beautifully with every turn. The base of the pendant is crafted in carnelian, which displays a dark reddish-orange hue. The top of the pendant features a watch swivel clasp, which allows the pendant to easily attach to the spring ring. The front of the watch swivel clasp features a fluted plaque, which is decorated with black enameling. The spring ring is stamped with a "STERLING" purity mark. A bold piece, this pendant necklace would make a fantastic addition to any antique jewelry collection!
