A phenomenally detailed portrait ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14k, this ring features a pill-shaped centerpiece which is decorated with the enameled-portrait of a masked woman! The woman is depicted in neutral-colored garments, and is shown wearing a cross pendant necklace. Furthermore, the woman is wearing a powdered wig, adorned with small, decorative pink and blue flowers. Her black mask wonderfully contrasts her soft skin and rosy cheeks. The pill-shaped centerpiece is bordered by 8, bezel-set pearls, which display a lovely luster. The shoulders of the ring feature a split-shank design, and an additional banded-detail. The remainder of the band features a subtle ribbed-design. A highly-intricate piece, this ring would make a special addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is currently a size 6.25, but could be resized. The band has a width of 3.28mm. The centerpiece has a height of 7/8" and a width of 3/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the pearls are intact and securely set. The enameled portrait is intact and free from any chips.
