An absolutely breathtaking sapphire and diamond engagement ring from the Retro (ca1950s) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in platinum and features a horizontally-set 4.06ct oval cut sapphire. The sapphire is held within a four prong-setting, and displays a unique vibrant orange hue. The sapphire is complemented on each shoulder by a single baguette-cut diamond. Both diamonds are held within two prong-settings, and have an approximate total carat weight of .20ctw. The diamonds display H/I color and VS1-VS2 clarity. The piece is completed by a smooth and simple band, and the shank is stamped "10% IRID PLAT". A fabulous piece, this ring would make a stunning and colorful engagement ring!
Measurements:The ring has finger size 6.5 but could easily be re-sized. The band has a width of 1.5mm.
Condition:The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and the central sapphire and two additional diamonds are secure and intact.
