A fabulous nautical necklaceĀ from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this necklace begins with a highly-intricate chain. The chain is comprised of pill-shaped links, which feature a twisted wirework-design. The pill-shaped links alternate with three-dimensional sterling silver balls. The links are connected by small sterling jump rings, and the piece secures with a watch swivel clasp. The watch swivel clasp allows the chain to securely attach to a large anchor pendant. The front surface of the anchor is adorned with scrolling and foliage-motif engravings, and a three-dimensional "rope" wraps around the pendant. The backside of the piece features a pin clasp, which would allow the anchor to be removed from the chain and worn alone as a pin. A bold piece, this pendant necklace would make a fabulous addition to any Victorian-era jewelry collection!
