A fantastic fob necklace from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this necklace features three fobs hanging from a lovely chain. One of the fobs is in the shape of a drinking horn (stamped "W.O.D.", an anchor, a lion, and an indistinguishable hallmark) with delightful repoussé detail and a deep bloodstone in its bell. A hand mirror-shaped watch key fob is set with a carnelian intaglio of a gentleman in a hat, and it swivels from its bail. A seal fob set with a vibrant, polished orange carnelian stone completes the pendant set. A sterling silver chain holds the three pendants by a swiveling watch clasp. The chain alternates between an ornately textured gold filled link and a simple elongated sterling link, the subtle hue creating wonderful dimension. This collection of Victorian fobs looks fantastic when worn and would be a great addition to any jewelry box!
Measurements:Â The necklace chain measures approximately 34" in length. The pendant drop measures an overall 3" in length including the watch clasp and fobs. The horn measures 1 1/8" wide. The seal fob measures 13/32" by 11/32" and 1" tall. The watch key measures 1 1/2" tall by 13/32" wide.
Condition:Â The necklace is in excellent overall condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver and gold-filled chain. The clasp is secure and in good working condition. All of the fobs and their stones are intact and securely set.Â
