An absolutely exquisite bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This gold-filled bangle is decorated with lovely engravings and black enameling. Both sides of the piece feature blooming floral and foliage-motifs, which rest atop a background adorned with thatch work engravings. The flowers and foliage motifs are highlighted with black enameling, and the top and bottom edges of the bangle are smooth and simple. The side of the bracelet features a push clasp and safety chain. The inside of the bangle is stamped: "GOLD FILLED 1-20-10K". An elegant and timeless piece, this bracelet would look lovely worn on any wrist!
Measurements:Â The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 3/8" wide and 2 1/16" tall. The surface of the bracelet measures 5/8" wide.Â
Condition:Â The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the hinged gold filled setting, and both the push clasp and safety chain are secure and in working order. The enameling is intact, and free from any major chips or scratches.
