Victorian English 15k Garnet & Enamel Bangle

A spectacular and colorful English bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1860s) era! Crafted in 15k rose gold, the front of this bangle features 7, bezel-set garnet cabochons, which graduate in size. The garnets display a gorgeous vibrant red hue. The front of the bangle is also decorated with intricate enameling, which incorporates floral and foliage-motifs, and 2, parallel rows of black and white striping. The enameling incorporates black, white, and rosy gold hues. The backside of the bangle is smooth and simple, and the piece secures with a simple push clasp, and features an additional safety chain. The inside of the bracelet features an original engraving which reads: "d. 18th August 1860". A truly spectacular example of Victorian-era craftsmanship, this bangle would make an exquisite addition to any antique jewelry collection!

Measurements: The inside of the bangle (where a wrist would rest) has a width of 2 1/2" and a height of 2 1/16". The surface of the bracelet has a width of 3/4".

Condition: The overall condition of the bangle is excellent. There is no apparent to the gold setting, and the push clasp and safety chain are both in working order. All of the garnets and enamel detailing are secure and intact.
