An absolutely exquisite micro mosaic bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 18k yellow gold, the exterior surface of this gorgeous bangle is adorned with 10 highly-detailed micro mosaic images. Five of the micro mosaic panels depict doves surrounded by blooming florals and foliage, and one panel showcases a regal swan. The remaining four panels depict roses and foliage-motifs. In addition to being highly-intricate, the micro mosaic images add wonderful color to the bangle, encapsulating white, black, green, teal, pink, and taupe hues! The bracelet secures with a slide and lock clasp, and features an additional safety chain. The safety chain is accompanied by 2 18k gold coins, which range slightly in size. However, each coin showcases the side profile of a woman surrounded by a star-motif halo on one side, and their monetary worth on the other side. The larger coin is stamped: "2 DOLLAR 1870", and the smaller coin: "1/4 DOLLAR 1870". The words on each coin are encircled by a laurel wreath and bow-motif. The inside of the bangle also features an original engraving, which reads: "LAUREN J. WILLIAMSON". The bracelet is accompanied by an authentic, Victorian-era bracelet box. Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest ) has a diameter 2 1/4" of and a height of 1 7/8". The surface of the bracelet has a width of 5/8".
