Victorian 18k Cherub/Angel Cameo Ring

A gorgeous sardonyx cameo ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 18kt yellow gold, this striking piece adorns an oval shaped sardonyx cameo at the center of a lovely setting. Resting atop the smoothly polished rich, dark stone is a wonderful image of a cherub or angel. The details are fantastic, including his sweet facial expression and textured hair. The striking bezel set cameo is surrounded by a smoothly polished wide border. Each shoulder is decorated with simple gold detail, and the ring is complete with a simple delicate shank. The ring comes in it's original velvet lined box.This elegant and unique ring makes an incredible statement piece and would look stunning worn day or night! 

 

Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6 but could be resized. The sardonyx cameo centerpiece measures approximately 1/2" tall, about 1/2" wide, and rests a little less than 1/4" above the finger when worn.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting. The sardonyx cameo is intact and securely set.
