A fantastic bangle from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, the front of this bracelet features a unique buckle design! Uniquely, the prong of the buckle is represented by a large, three-dimensional anchor. Furthermore, the front half to the bangle is decorated with scrolling-motif engravings, which add fantastic dimension to the piece. The back half of the bangle is smooth and simple, and the piece features an adjustable design. The piece can be worn at 3 different sizes, and secures with a post, and additional latch. A truly spectacular bangle, this piece would look lovely worn alone, or paired with others antique bracelets!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 1/4" wide and 1 3/4" tall at its largest size. The front of the bracelet, which features the buckle, has a surface width of 1 1/4". The piece has a weight of 21.2dwt.
Condition: The overall condition of the bangle is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and the adjustable latch clasp is secure and in working order.
