The Story
A stunning and unusual diamond and sapphire bypass ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted inĀ 14k yellow gold,Ā the piece features a sparkling mine cut diamond and a cushion cut sapphire nestled together atĀ the center, forming a stylish "Moi et Toi" ("Me and You") design. Each stoneĀ rests in a 6-prong setting, and the two varying stones wonderfully complement one another. The diamond has an approximate carat weight of .40ct and displays H/I color and VS2 clarity. The sapphire has a carat weight of approximately .50ct. The ring is completed by a smooth and simple gold band, which is stamped "14". A beautifulĀ and feminine design, it could make a unique engagement ring, or a specialĀ addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements:Ā The ring has a finger size 6.5,Ā but could easily be re-sized. When worn, the stonesĀ rest approximately 1/4" above the finger. The band measures approximately 1.65mm wide at the back.
Condition:Ā The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and both the diamond and sapphire stones are secure and intact.
