A stunning pair of banded agate and pearl earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, each earring begins with a small banded agate bead surmount. The earrings then feature an oval-shaped link, which is adorned with calibrated banded agate stones. The center of each oval features a pill-shaped link, which features an additional bezel-set agate stone. The oval-shaped agate is centered by a small seed pearl, which is framed by a starburst-motif. All of the agates display a lovely brownish-black hue and white stripes. The earrings are completed by simple earring wires. The backside of each earring is marked "I8". A classic and timeless pair, these earrings would blend seamlessly into any Victorian-era jewelry collection!
Measurements:Ā The earrings hang approximately 1 1/2" (including the earring wires) and have a width of 5/8".
Condition:Ā The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The banded agate stones and small pearls are all secure and intact, and the earring wires are secure and in working order.
