The Story
A beautiful banded agate necklace from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, this necklace is comprised of 14 bicone-shaped banded agate beads. The banded agate display an incredible brownish-black hue and features lovely white marbling. The beads are connected by small gold jump rings, and the piece secures with a simple push clasp, which is concealed within a round banded agate bead. A lovely piece, this necklace would blend seamlessly into any Victorian-era jewelry collection!
Measurements: The entire necklace measures approximately 16" long. Each bead has a length of 1" and a width of 3/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage any of the banded agate beads, and the gold jump rings are secure and in working order. The push clasp is secure and in working order. However, the round agate bead which contains the clasp does have an internal crack, but it does not impact the security of the agate bead.
