Victorian 14k Banded Agate Cabochon 6-Piece Cufflink Set with Original Box

A classic 6-piece cufflink and stud set from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of 14k yellow gold, this beautiful set is comprised of a pair of cufflinks, 3 shirt studs, and a button. The cufflinks are double-sided and have a simple, yet attractive design. The face of each cufflink is comprised of a bezel setting with a twisted rope-like border, which holds a large banded agate cabochon resting in the center. The agate stones have a smoothly polished surface and display a luscious, deep chocolate brown color with a single off-white stripe down the center of the stone that compliments the yellow gold setting perfectly! Connecting the cufflinks is a yellow gold chain on the back. The 3 shirt studs carry a matching agate cabochon design and match the size of the individual button included in the set. A gold bar link rests on the back of each stud.  The cufflink set comes in the original brown box with purple satin and velvet interior, stamped "SPITTALL JEWELLER WHITEHAVEN" inside the lid. A simply stunning set, it has a wonderful design and would look fantastic worn by a distinguished gentleman!

Measurements: The face of each cufflink measures approximately measures 3/4" long and 1/2" wide. The shirt studs are just under a 1/2" in diameter and 1" gold link on the back. The face of the button measures approximately 3/8" in diameter.

Condition: The overall condition of the cufflink set is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to any of the garnet cabochons, all of which are intact. The bar links and pins are all in good working condition. There is some visible wear to the exterior of the box, which is normal for its age. The velvet pad inside is still intact, and the box hinge and clasp are in good working order.
