The surface of each Alhambra-motif features a ribbed design, and a border which is comprised of small, three-dimensional gold balls. Each motif is also centered by a larger, gold ball. The Alhambra-motifs are connected by dainty paperclip-style chain, and the piece secures with a lobster claw clasp. The clasp features the Van Cleef & Arpels signature, a serial number which reads: "S988", and an eagle-motif, which indicates that the piece was crafted in France.
