An absolutely gorgeous set of bug pins from the Retro (ca1940s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold and sterling silver, each bug features a gold-toned thorax, legs, and antennas. The eyes of each bug are represented by bezel-set rubies, which display a vibrant, pinkish-red hue. The abdomen of each bug is represented by a lustrous, milky-hued pearl. Each bug features four wings, which are encrusted with bead-set rose cut diamonds, and further decorated with intricate milgrain detailing and arrow-motif cutout designs. The back of each bug features a gold pin clasp. A delicate and unique set, these pins would look lovely worn together or individually!
Measurements:Â The largest pin measures 1" wide and 7/8" tall. The two, smaller pins measure 1" wide and 3/4" tall.
Condition:Â The overall condition of the pin set is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold or sterling silver details, and all of the stones are secure and intact. Each pin closure is secure and in working order.
