A spectacular diamond and opal pin/pendant from the Retro (ca1940s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, this piece forms the shape of a delicate snowflake. The surface of the snowflake is adorned with thirteen opal cabochons which are held within prong settings. The opals display flashes of orange, green, and blue. Interspersed amongst the opals are six small single cut diamonds, which are also held within prong settings and decorate the outermost points of the snowflake. The back of the pin/pendant features both a simple pin clasp and a complementary hidden bail, perfect for attaching the snowflake to a simple gold chain. The back of the snowflake is also marked with a "14K" purity mark. A colorful and unique piece, this Retro pin/pendant would make the perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin/pendant measures 1 1/2” in diameter and about 1/2" at its deepest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the pin/pendant is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the diamond and opal stones are secure and intact. The pin clasp and bail are both secure and in working order.
