An incredible gold mourning ring from the Georgian (ca1830) era! This beautiful ring is crafted in 14k rose gold, and features the word "RICORDO" in black enameling. The term "RICORDO" translates to "I remember" or "memory". The text is surrounded by a uniquely-shaped raised border, and the simple rose gold band is adorned with intricate stampwork. The outside of the ring is stamped with an illegible hallmark An exceptional antique mourning ring, it is rich in history and would be perfect for the serious Georgian collector!
Measurements: The ring has a large finger size 10.5, but could easily be resized. The band measures 7.42mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The enameled text remains in excellent condition, and is free of significant chips or surface scratches.
