The Story
A fabulous sapphire and diamond ring from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in vibrant 14k yellow gold and platinum, this ring features a central oval-cut Ceylon sapphire. The sapphire is held within a multi-prong setting, and displays a gorgeous cornflower blue hue. The sapphire has a carat weight of 2ct, and is surrounded by a halo of 12 old mine cut diamonds, which are held within prong-settings, and have an approximate total carat weight of 1.5ctw. The diamonds display G/H color and VS1-SI1 clarity. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple. An elegant piece, this ring would make a spectacular engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 5.25, but it could easily be re-sized.  Â
Condition:Â The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and the sapphire and diamonds are all secure and intact.
