An exquisite diamond and ruby engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in platinum, this ring features a central bezel-set .75ct marquise cut diamond. The magnificent stone displays I/J color and VS2 clarity, and is surrounded by a boarder of 4 calibrated rubies, which are also within milgrained bezel-settings. The rubies display a vibrant pinkish-red hue, and have an approximate total carat weight of .20ctw. The square-shaped centerpiece is bordered on both the top and bottom by half-circle shaped plaques, which are encrusted with bead-set single cut diamonds. The shoulders of the ring also each feature 4 bead-set single cut diamonds. Overall, the small diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of .40ctw and display H/I color and VS1-VS2 clarity. The gallery of the ring features a lovely cutout-design, and the shoulders are decorated with delicate engravings that carry onto the band of the piece. The inside of the shank is stamped "95 PLAT". Condition:Ā The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to theĀ platinumĀ setting. All of the stones are intact and securely set.
