A jaw-dropping diamond and aqua pin/fur clip set from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! This wonderful and unusual piece is crafted in platinum, and encrusted with 16ctw of bead-set old mine cut diamonds. The diamonds, which display H/I color and VS1-SI1 clarity are simply wonderful, catching the light with every turn. The front of the pin/fur clip set also features 2 large, prong-set pear cut aqua stones. The aqua stones have an approximate total carat weight of 6ctw, and display a lovely pale blue hue, which wonderfully complements the platinum setting. The backside of the piece features a platinum connector and pin clasp, which securely attaches the fur clips into an oblong-shaped pin. When both mechanisms are undone, the pin transforms into 2, separate fur clips. The backside of each fur clip also features teethed-clips, which would allow them to securely attach to the user's collar or coat. It's a magnificent piece and would make a great addition to any collection!
Measurements:Â As a pin, the piece measures approximately 3 1/2" wide and 1 3/4" tall. When broken into 2 fur clips, each clip measures approximately 1 3/4" wide. The piece has a total weight of 36.9dwt.
Condition:Â The overall condition of the pin/fur clip set is excellent. There is no apparent damage the platinum setting, and all of the diamonds and aqua stones are intact and securely set. The pin clasp and fur clips are both securely attached and in working order.
