A stunning opal and diamond ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! This fabulous piece is crafted in mixed metals and features a central opal cabochon. The opal is held within a bezel setting, and is surrounded by a rounded square-shaped frame. The opal displays lovely green, blue, and red flashes. The frame features four, small single cut diamonds, which are held in place by bead settings. Additionally, the diamonds are encased within triangle shaped frames, which are adorned with intricate milgrain detailing. The remainder of the frame features "zig-zag" etchings, which further add to the unique appeal of the piece. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple. A truly magnificent piece, this Art Deco ring would make a splendid addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.75 but it could easily be re-sized. The opal and diamond centerpiece measures approximately 7/8" tall and 3/4" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the mixed metal setting, or to any of the stones.
