An exquisite sapphire and diamond ring from the Art Dec (ca1920s) era! This lovely piece is crafted in 14k white gold, and features a single, 2.88ct oval sapphire, held within a six-prong setting. The sapphire displays a lovey deep blue hue, and is Sri Lankan in origin and has not been treated with heat. The sapphire is bordered on the top and bottom by a total of 8 old mine and old European cut diamonds, which are all held within four-prong settings. The sapphire is bordered on both the left and right by a single old European cut diamond, which is also held within a six-prong setting. Overall, the diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of 1.5ctw and display G color and SI1 clarity. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple. The ring is accompanied by an AGL (American Gemological Laboratories) Origin Report #1144280, stating the Sapphire's origin as Ceylon (Sri Lanka) with no indication of heat treatment. It is a beautiful ring that would make a perfect everyday piece or could make a lovely engagement ring!
Measurements:Â The ring is a size 6, but could easily be re-sized. The band measures 2.25mm.
Condition:Â The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting, and the sapphire and diamonds are all secure and intact.
