The Story
A beautiful sterling silver muff chain from the Victorian (ca1890) era! This long and decorative necklace is comprised of lovely filigree links, which have a simple but beautiful design. Sterling loops alternate with ellipse-shaped links, each of which has a swirled wire adornment set in the center. At the center of the chain is a large spring clasp, which makes it easy to double the chain for a layered look or to attach a complimentary pendant or locket if desired. A beautifully made piece, it is versatile enough to wear everyday and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The entire length of the chain measures 42" long. The ellipse links measure approximately 1" long and 1/4" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling links or to the spring ring clasp, which fastens securely and is in good working condition.
