A wonderful and very decorative pin from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This sterling silver piece forms the shape of a three-dimensional lizard, whose body is encrusted in sparkling French paste stones. The pin is highly detailed, including webbed feet, a long curved tail, a slithering tongue, and red stones depicting its eyes. An etched pattern on the outside surface represents scales and adds further texture to the design. The underside of the pin reveals a secure bar pin clasp, allowing it to be fastened to a favorite garment.
