A fabulous gunmetal chain necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Extremely long in length, this attractive piece is comprised of sections of dark gunmetal chain that alternate with 9 purple crystals. Each beautiful crystal is beautifully faceted and held within a simple eyeglass bezel setting. The rich purple color resembles amethyst, which contrasts very nicely with the dark gunmetal setting. At the center of the chain is a large spring ring and watch swivel clasp, making it easy to double the chain and/or to hang a complimentary pendant or locket if desired. A very versatile piece, this wonderful chain is perfect for everyday wear, and would compliment any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The entire length of the chain measures approximately 60" long. Each purple crystal link is approximately 6mm in size.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gunmetal chain or the purple crystal links. The spring ring and watch swivel clasps fasten securely and are in good working condition.
