A magnificent flower pin from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous French piece is crafted in 18kt gold and has an incredibly realistic design. The pin portrays a gorgeous flower in bloom, which is quite substantial in size and comes to life in 3-dimensional detail. The life-like design consists of six individual petals that overlap each other at the sides, with delicate folds and curled edges. Covering both sides of the piece is a fine enameled design with hand painted details. The petals are magenta and light pink at the tips, fading to pale yellow at the center. Fine pink veins add further detail, and an old Mine Cut diamond is bezel set at the center, adding a wonderful sparkle to the already beautiful design! The back of the piece reveals a gold bar pin, which is stamped with French hallmarks and fastens securely to a favorite garment. A wonderful and feminine piece, the artistry is exemplary and would make this a special addition to any collection!
