A gorgeous pair of earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted inĀ 15kt gold, these English-madeĀ earrings haveĀ a dramatic hangingĀ design. At the center is a teardrop link patterned with fine beadwork details. A delicate natural seed pearl rests at the center, surrounded by an enameled blue starburst. Swinging freely from the bottom is a foxtail fringe comprised of a row of articulated spears. The hollow design is wonderfully lightweight and comfortable to wear, hanging from simple gold wires at the top. These artistic earrings frame the face beautifully and dangle with lovely movement. A perfect example of Victorian era jewelry, they would make a special addition to any antique collection!
Measurements:Ā Each earring hangs approximately 2 1/4" long (including the wires and the fringe), measures 1/2" at the widest point, and 1/4" at the thickest point.
Condition:Ā The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or delicate beadwork details. The enameled starburst and seed pearls are intact. The earring wires and dangling foxtail fringe spears are securely attached.
