An unusual pair of vintage blackamoor earrings from the 1960s! Likely of Italian descent, the earrings are crafted in sterling silver and have a black and white enameled design. Each earring depicts a simple blackamoor face wearing a decorative turban hat. The earrings have a unique curved shape and clasp in the front with reverse hinged hooks. Delicate dotted enamel detail adds a lovely accent to the turbans, and silver accents form the facial features. A small sterling plaque engraved with leaf-like detail rests below each neck, a lovely finishing touch.
