A simply beautiful repousse locket from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era. Made of sterling silver, the locket has the wonderful raised image of a beautiful woman in profile on the front surface. The image is intricately detailed with long flowing locks of hair, a romantic expression on her face as she gazes ahead, and lovely flowers in her hair. The surface of the silver has a wonderful natural patina which adds to the richness of the piece. The locket is oval in shape and hangs from a large silver bail, making it easy to hang and wear from a chain. It opens from the side to reveal a space inside for a special photograph, and is stamped "STERLING" inside. A beautiful work of art, this gorgeous locket would look lovely worn everyday and would make a special keepsake addition to any collection!
Measurements: The locket hangs 1 3/4" long, is 1 1/8" wide, and is 3/8" thick at its thickest point.
