The Story
A beautiful lapis pendantĀ from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This wonderful hand-carvedĀ piece is of Chinese origin and is rather substantial in size. The lapis forms a large teardrop shape and displays a spectacular deep blue color with shimmery gold flecks. The hand-carved design has a floral motif that gives three-dimensional detail and depth to the piece. At the top of the pendant is a simple yellow gold bail, allowing it to be hung and worn from your favorite chain. A lovely and artistic handmade piece, it would make a striking addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 2" long, measures 1 1/2" wide, and is 1/2" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent.Ā Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the carved lapis or to the gold bail, which is secure and intact.
