The Story
Fabulous double-sided cufflinks from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Each cufflink is crafted in platinum topped 14kt yellow gold and has two frosted rock quartz crystal faces which are square in shape. The rock crystal plaques have a 3-dimensional pyramidal cut and adorn a sparkling old Mine Cut diamond bezel set in the center. Framing each diamond are 4 square cut onyx stones which are set in an "x" design, creating a fabulous Deco look. All of the stones are bezel set and the onyx and rock quartz are framed in a milgrained setting. The reverse side of each open backed crystal plaque reveals a yellow gold attachment. Gold connectors fasten the links together, and can be pressed on one side to open, allowing you to slide the links off if desired. The center bar is has a small touch mark along with the makers mark "CM," and "585". A stunning pair of Art Deco cufflinks, they would look wonderful worn by a man or woman!
Measurements: Each cufflink face measures 1/2" wide and tall and 1/4" thick. The space in between each cufflink measures 7/8" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the cufflinks is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the onyx and diamonds are intact. There is some very minimal surface wear to the rock quartz crystals, but nothing significant or noticeable when they're worn. The gold cufflink connectors are secure and in good working condition.
Measurements: Each cufflink face measures 1/2" wide and tall and 1/4" thick. The space in between each cufflink measures 7/8" long.
